【御宿】大波月（おおはづき）海岸

御宿帰省 三日目。朝10時。

今日は地元の中高・同級生だったジュリーくんを誘い、磯遊び目的で勝浦海中公園へ。

久しぶりの来訪に海沿いの国道のトンネルをくぐると、懐かしさが込み上げてきます。

最寄りの立体駐車場に車を停め、正面の小さな海岸へ降りると、波は荒く、おまけに水位も高く、とても磯遊びができる状態ではありません。

「あああ、、（波高い～）」と三人の開いた口を閉じるため、それでは御宿のあの海岸に行ってみようかと、今来た道を戻る形で、御宿方面へUターン。

あらためて目指すは、御宿の「大波月（おおはづき）海岸」へ。
全長100m程の小さくほとんど知られていない海岸ですが、切り立った岸壁と砂浜の景観は素晴らしく、ハイアマチュアの写真家や、若手演奏家のアーティスト写真などを撮るロケーションにもなっているほど。昔は海女さんが漁業をしていた浜でもあり、その面影を残す道具置き場の岩穴や、冷えた身体を温めるためのコンクリートブロック積みの囲いなどが今も残っています。

車を置く場所から3~4分、草ぼうぼうの土の道の上を歩かないと海岸に出れないのが難点。それを乗り越えれば絶景は目の前です。

“Oohakuki coast” in Onjuku.

The third day returning home. It’s 10 am.

Today, I invited Julie, a local high school and classmate, to Katsuura marine park for the purpose of leisurely exercise.

When you go through the tunnel in the national highway along the seashore for the first time in a while, nostalgia will come in.

When stopping the car in the nearest multi-level parking lot and descending to the small coast in front, the wave is rough, and the water level is also high, and it is not in a state where you can play very much.

In order to close the three open mouths, “Oh ,,, (high wave ~)” then let’s go back to the coast of the Onjuku, take a U-turn towards Onjuku in the form of a way back from now.

I will aim for you again to the Onigaki coast of Onjuku.
Although it is a little small known coast of about 100 m in length, the distinguished quay and sandy beach scenery is wonderful, it is also a location to take photographs of high amateur photographers and artists of young musicians. In the past it was also a beach where fishermen were fishing, there are still rocks in the tool storage space that will leave its surroundings, enclosures of concrete block piling for warming cold body, and so on.

It is a difficulty to not go out to the beach without walking on the grass rock dirt road for 3-4 minutes from where to put the car. The superb view is in front of you if you overcome it.
